The Basics of Accreditation for New Program Coordinators Workshops

The 2022 workshops have concluded. Check back for 2023 dates!

These interactive, specialty-specific workshops are designed for program coordinators who are actively involved in the administration and management of their program. They will assist coordinators in understanding the basics of ACGME accreditation of residency and fellowship programs.

New coordinators with less than two years' experience in an ACGME-accredited program are encouraged to attend; this workshop is not designed for seasoned coordinators, program directors, or designated institutional officials. Coordinators from osteopathic programs with any level of experience are welcome to attend. To encourage a safe space for questions and learning, the ACGME will remove and refund anyone who registers for whom the course is not applicable.

During the workshops, participants will meet Review Committee and other ACGME staff members involved in accreditation and learn about the ACGME, the Common Program Requirements, the Accreditation Data System (ADS), resident/fellow assessment and the Milestones, and site visits. An experienced, guest coordinator speaker will discuss the yearly calendar.
